Dolmet

Dolmet

Dolmet
Complementary feed – source of enteric methionine and protein
for dairy cows and beef cattle

Properties

Dolmet is a source of nitrogen necessary for a quick synthesis of protein in rumen microorganisms, digested in the small intestine. It perfectly synchronizes functioning of the rumen if rapidly digested carbohydrates (such as grain silage) are used in a ration. The product makes it possible to partially replace post-extraction soya meal and post-extraction rapeseed meal (100 g of the product is a protein equivalent of 280 g of post-extraction soya meal). Enteric methionine improves the use of protein in the small intestine.
Dolmet easily mixes with feed, is willingly taken by animals, which improves milk yield and weight gain in beef cattle.
Conditions of use:
Dolmet should be introduced gradually, that is starting with a small amount to reach 200 g within 10 days, and within 20 following days – the full dose,
during the use, one should avoid changes in the nutritional value,
nutritional ration should be highly-energetic, contain a lot of starch (corn silage, grain silage,
high doses of concentrate feed) and no more that 15% of general protein,
the pH of cows should be kept between 5.5 and 6.4 (pH below 5.5 causes worse use of the product, and pH above 6.4 induces an untimely release of ammonia),
should not be applied to infested cattle (parasitosis),
it is crucial to fully supply the animals with vitamins and minerals (phosphorus, sulfur,
copper, manganese, etc.) as these components are necessary for the synthesis of amino
acids and bacterial protein.
Along with Dolmet, one should apply also:
dairy cows: Dolmix BMp +, Dolmix BMp super or Dolmix BM lactan
beef cattle: Dolmix BO

Instructions for use

from 100 to 200 g/head/day
from 200 to 500 g/head/day
IMPORTANT! – calculated on the basis of the nitrogen balance in the rumen and availability of energy forms.
