The product is intended for the maintenance of grass and alfalfa silages. It significantly improves the fermentation process and the nutritional value of the silage.
It contains three unique strains of lactic acid bacteria:
pediococcus acidilactici – initiator strain that starts fermentation,
pediococcus pentosaceus – continues the fermentation process by lowering the pH,
lactobacillus plantarum – active in the final stage of fermentation, stabilizes the silage.
Thanks to the quick initiation of fermentation and the appropriate selection of bacterial cultures (fermentation of the most important sugars), DOLSIL Perfect quickly and effectively lowers the pH value of the silage, which stops the development of undesirable microorganisms, thus reducing the risk of deterioration of silage parameters.
Silage protected with DOLSIL Perfect is characterized by the maximum concentration of nutrients and is attractive in terms of taste and smell for cattle. The effect of silage maintenance with DOLSIL Perfect is an increase in cows’ productivity and return on investment.
The use of DOLSIL Perfect preserves a higher content of bound amino acids. Amino acids protected in this way are much more resistant to degradation in the rumen environment than free amino acids.
DOLSIL Perfect (P<0.001) decreased the percentage of free amino acids and statistically (P<0.01), increased the content of bound amino acids, free amino acids are more easily broken down in the rumen, bound amino acids pass through the rumen and enter the intestine, digestibility protein (+ 2.8%) and energy (+ 4.6%) were both higher (P<0.05), higher digestibility leads to better feed conversion, increasing production efficiency.
