A common cause of the malfunction of the process of releasing calcium from bones is a lack of magnesium, limiting the production of parathyroid hormone. This element is a component of both Dolmix Cal-Caps and Dolmix Fosfo-Caps, which, in addition to calcium and magnesium, also contains perfectly absorbable phosphorus. On the other hand, excessive production of parathyroid hormone causes its output of phosphorus with urine and may lead to hypophosphatemia and its consequences – lack of appetite, reduced milk production, bone fragility and postpartum retention. Dolmix Fosfo-Caps should be used when there is no reaction to the administration of calcium preparations.
