The lack of ß-carotene, even with a good supply of vitamin A, leads to disorders of the reproductive glands and other organs that are dangerous for cattle. These disorders negatively affect the reproductive abilities of animals, which is manifested, among others, by weak, chronic oestrus, irregular sexual cycles, ovulation disorders, and underdevelopment of the yellow body.
